Building a more inclusive tech world.

I'm Anshita Mehra, founder of Digital Balika — a community and platform helping women build digital skills, explore AI, and grow careers in technology, with AI reimagined as a personal mentor rather than a barrier.

A little about
the person behind it.

My work sits at the intersection of technology, education, storytelling and community — with one goal: making opportunity in tech feel more accessible to women.

“Technology should create possibility, not intimidation.”

I founded Digital Balika to bring women together around technology, learning and opportunity. Today, that means building community first — listening closely to understand what women actually need to build confidence and careers in tech, before designing solutions around it.

My interests span AI, digital skills, community building, content strategy, career development and emerging technologies — and connecting with people curious enough to keep learning alongside me.

Make tech human

Translate complex ideas into learning experiences that feel approachable, not intimidating.

Build community

Create spaces where women can learn, ask questions, collaborate and grow together.

Turn ideas into action

Move from curiosity to experiments, projects and measurable real-world impact.

Building the community.

Digital Balika is in its early-stage chapter — bringing women together, listening deeply, and researching how AI can become a better mentor for women in tech.

What we're
exploring now.

The next chapter of Digital Balika is about asking better questions — with women, for women.

“What if AI could become a personal mentor — available whenever a woman needs guidance?”

Digital Balika is currently in its early community-building stage. We're bringing women together, understanding their real challenges, and exploring what support actually helps them move forward in technology.

At the heart of our research is one question: how can AI become a better mentor for women? We're exploring how AI could support career decisions, learning, confidence and skill-building — while keeping human connection at the centre of it all.

Listen first

Learn from women's experiences, questions and barriers before designing solutions.

Experiment with AI

Explore practical ways AI can support learning, careers and everyday problem-solving.

Build together

Grow a community where women can share knowledge, opportunities and encouragement.

Speaking &
being in the room.

Conversations matter most when they help someone see a new possibility for themselves.

Panelist at the AI Bootcamp — Salford Business School

I was honoured to speak as a panelist at the AI Bootcamp hosted by Salford Business School, marking International Women's Day.

The session was an opportunity to share my journey in technology, unpack the challenges and opportunities facing women in AI, and engage with a room of curious, talented students.

I shared the panel with Christine Kwakwa, Ifeoluwapo Ali, and Halima Ciroma, and I'm grateful to Marie Griffiths and Yun Chen for the invitation and for building such an inspiring initiative.

My First Chatbot

Built a chatbot using Google Cloud & Dialogflow after a workshop with Mansi More, exploring how businesses automate customer conversations.

02

AI-Powered Habit Tracker

Designed and shipped a working habit-tracking system using ChatGPT, Claude AI and Google Colab in roughly 30 minutes.

03

Blockchain-Based Healthcare Records

Explored AI + blockchain for more secure medical records, smart contracts, and giving patients real control over their own data.

The experience also took me into image classification with CreateML, prototyping in Streamlit, AI career strategy, personal branding and GitHub Copilot. More than a hackathon, it was a crash course in learning fast, failing forward, and iterating until it works.

What I bring.

A mix of people skills and digital capability — built for taking initiatives from a first idea through to execution.
